Overview

  • Group size35 people

The Coast to Coast Connector (C2C) Trail links 12 individual trails, stretching from Titusville on Florida’s east coast to St. Petersburg on the Gulf of Mexico. This multiuse, paved trail spans approximately 250 miles and is currently 88% complete. The presentation will provide an overview of the trail’s route and highlight scenic areas along the way. It will explore options for riding the trail, whether for a single day or as part of a multiday tour—either independently or with the support of a tour company. Additionally, the session will cover essential food and nutrition considerations for multiday bike touring. A touring bike equipped with panniers will be available for viewing, along with a discussion on the advantages of lightweight packing for extended trips.

Notes

Session Notes: This presentation will focus on Bike Touring not packing. Presented by Linda G. Breum, RN, who began cycling in 2004 as a supporter of the MS 150, a two-day ride from SeaWorld to Busch Gardens. She currently rides four days a week, covering approximately 7,000 miles annually. Her cycling experience includes both road and gravel biking, as well as several multiday bikepacking tours. She has completed the Coast-to-Coast Connector (C2C) Trail in both directions. Linda is an active member of the Florida Bicycle Association, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, and Adventure Cycling Association.
