Are you ready to travel in bear country? Join REI to learn the basics of bear canisters and bear bags, and when and where to use them. You'll get a hands-on chance to practice bear bag hanging skills, and learn bear awareness to keep your food (and your campsite) bear free. These skills will protect your food from many other small creatures, and ensure you don't wake up with any unwanted, furry visitors. No prior experience necessary.

This class meets at the parking lot of the REI in Greenville. The class will be held at the small parking lot between the building and Carolina Point Parkway. Follow GPS coordinates for a specific location. If you have any issues, please contact us at (877) 819-3813.
