Overview

El Camino de Santiago, or “The Way of Saint James,” is a network of ancient pilgrimage routes leading to the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain, believed to be the resting place of Saint James. Pilgrims have walked these paths for centuries, seeking spiritual growth, cultural immersion, and personal transformation. Today, the Camino welcomes travelers from around the world who come for a variety of reasons—from adventure and reflection to connection and renewal. Join American Pilgrims on the Camino for an inspiring session that brings to life the incredible tradition and epic adventure of the Camino de Santiago. Through personal stories, cultural insights, and practical advice, you'll gain a deeper understanding of both the spirit and logistics of pilgrimage. Whether you're just beginning to explore the idea or actively preparing for your own journey, this session offers meaningful guidance and a chance to connect with a welcoming community of fellow travelers. Each presentation reflects the unique perspective of its speaker, and topics may vary by REI location—please see the Notes section below for details.
