Each presentation offers a unique perspective—ranging from personal experiences and cultural insights to practical considerations and planning tips. Whether you're just beginning to explore the Camino or are well on your way to planning a journey, this session will provide inspiration, information, and community connection. Specific topics will vary by REI location—see the Notes section below for details.

The American Pilgrims on the Camino would love for you to join them for a broad and engaging session to learn about the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, its routes through Spain, Portugal and France, and the more popular related routes. This session will share the rich history, diverse cultural traditions and transformative experiences of walking, biking or horseback riding the Camino. Whether you are just discovering the Camino or planning your routes and choosing your gear, this session will help you get your bearings. Learn about guidebooks, training, packing & outfitting, lodging & meals, transportation and the benefits of joining the American Pilgrims.
