REI store pickup

Most items at REI.com are available for store pickup. Ordering is fast and easy - and there are no shipping fees! Just choose “Store pickup” or ”Ship to store” when placing your online order and select the store where you’d like to pick up your items.

When your order is ready, we’ll email you with store-specific pickup instructions. Hint: Show us your "ready for pickup" email for fastest pickup; or bring your ID. Once you arrive, we’ll get your items to you as quickly as possible so you can get out and enjoy them!

Curbside Pickup is available at most REI locations—check your local store page or your “ready for pickup” email for options.

Frequently asked questions

Once I arrive, how do I pick up my order?
Pickup details vary by location. Your “ready for pickup” email will include store-specific instructions, including where to pick your order up in the store; and, if curbside pickup is available, where to park and how to let us know you’ve arrived so we can load your gear.​​

How long will my order be held?
Items will be held for two weeks after which we'll cancel and refund your order. You can find your pickup by date in your order confirmation email or on your order details page.​​

Can someone else pick up my order for me?
Yes. Just share your pickup email with them to show at the store (on their phone is fine).​​

Can I get larger items such as bikes or kayaks via store pickup?
Yes. Please call the store in advance to schedule pickup of large items or to make an appointment for car rack installation.​​

Also note that we can help you load larger or oversize items with specific conditions: Employees can lift oversize items and put them on your existing car rack. We can’t secure the items (e.g., tie them down), so you’ll need to come prepared to do that. We also can’t perform team lifts with you.
