Free Shipping With REI Store Pickup

Have your order shipped to an REI store and get FREE SHIPPING. Some restrictions apply.

The good news:

  • Shipping is FREE—even for oversize items!

The not-so-great news (but consider that it's FREE!):

  • REI store pick-up orders may take longer than other shipping options.
  • Several bike brands can be shipped to select REI stores only; they cannot be shipped to your home or other addresses. Learn more about each bike brand's shipping restrictions.
  • Gift cards are not eligible for REI Store Pickup.

How to Place an Order for REI In-Store Pickup

You have 3 choices:

  • Shop online: Select "Pick up at a store for FREE" in step one of checkout. When you place your order, you will be given an estimated arrival date. When items from your order are available for pickup, you will receive an email from us.
  • Order by phone: Call 1-800-426-4840.
  • Order in person at your local REI Store.

Note: Orders paid with cash must be prepaid, and placed from one of our retail stores only.

To see the estimated arrival date of an REI Store Pickup order placed today, go to the Shipping Timelines page, and select your store from the drop-down menu beneath "REI Store Pickup." Keep in mind that REI Store Pickup orders may take longer than other shipping options.

Do you offer free shipping?

There are two ways to get free shipping for your REI purchase. You can have your order shipped to your local store for in-store pickup, or you can get free U.S. Standard shipping on qualifying orders.

What does it mean if an item is on backorder?

If an item is not currently available, but we think we'll eventually get more inventory, you have the option to put that item on backorder. If the item becomes available we will ship it to you. Of course, we will not charge your credit card until the item ships.
