Investing in adventure, all across America

REI Co-op Experiences hopes to soon bring 3 million people each year on outdoor adventures with us. To help us reach that goal, we are focusing all our efforts on expanding the reach and scope of our U.S. programs. As a result, we will no longer run any international trips after May 2, 2021.

A new approach

As part of our commitment to get as many people as possible outside with us, REI Co-op Experiences will invest in a network of outdoor experiences near some of the United States' most iconic destinations, building upon the 100+ U.S. trips we already offer. Expanding our domestic offerings will allow us to give folks across the country, from all walks of life, easy access to the outdoors through our guided tours, small-group vacations, high-quality rental gear and more.

Reason for refocus

The decision to focus on growing our U.S. programs while ending our international ones was not a result of pandemic-related challenges. We are encouraged by the early signs of recovery for the travel industry and are confident it will return around the globe. While planning for the future, it became clear that investing in the growth of our U.S. offerings would be the best way for us to connect millions of people to the life-changing power of outdoor adventures.
