What is REI's warranty?

We stand behind everything we sell. If your item has a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship, you can return it at any time with proof of purchase.

Exceptions: The REI Satisfaction Guarantee policy doesn't cover ordinary wear and tear, damage caused by improper use or accidents, or in-store Re/Supply gear purchases. Online Re/Supply gear purchases can be returned within 30 days from purchase date.

  • REI-branded products are covered under our limited warranty.
  • There is no warranty on Re/Supply Used Gear items.
    • Re/Supply at REI stores: All in-store Re/Supply items are sold “AS IS” and all sales are final, as you’re able to see the condition of the item in person at the time of purchase. Any used gear purchased in stores that is mailed to the REI Returns Department will be sent back to you, and you will not be refunded.
    • Re/Supply website returns: If a member isn’t satisfied with a used product that they bought online, it can be returned within 30 days of the purchase date. See details and instructions for online Re/Supply returns.

Returns for any other reason are covered within the following timeframes:

  • Non‑members: 90 days from purchase date
Outdoor electronics:
  • REI Co‑op Members: 90 days from purchase date
  • Non‑members: 90 days from purchase date
Online Re/Supply used gear items:
  • REI Co‑op Members: 30 days from purchase date
  • Non‑members: N/A
In-store Re/Supply used gear purchases, REI Co-op Memberships, lift tickets, passes, and gift cards:
  • REI Co‑op Members: Final sale
  • Non‑members: Final sale
