This trip is rated Moderate . Trip members should be capable of hiking up to 10 miles while carrying a daypack that weighs 10-15 pounds. Terrain is uneven and there are some significant elevation gains and losses. We also paddle for 2 days (kayaking and/or rafting) for 2.5-4 hours each day; the routes are suitable for beginners. Trip members should be comfortable on and in the water, and able to swim a minimum of 150 feet. Kayaking and rafting are not recommended for people with chronic back problems.
