Take action to protect and grow our trees and forests.
America's trees and forests are national treasures. They provide vital habitat for wildlife, clean and filter our air and water, absorb carbon from the atmosphere, and offer awe-inspiring settings to recreate and explore.
More frequent and intense natural disasters like wildfires, growing logging and development pressure and other threats mean future generations may never experience our forests like we do today. In communities across the United States where concrete roadways outmatch tree canopy, residents are vulnerable to deadly "heat islands," higher energy bills, worse air quality, increased rates of asthma and more.
Without a major shift in how we manage our forests, trees and tree canopy across the country, accessing the healing power they provide may soon be out of reach for far too many.
Together, we can change that. We're teaming up with Redwood the musical and American Forests to advocate for the survival and growth of our forests and trees as well as everyone's ability to enjoy them - and we need your help to get the job done.
Right now, our elected officials can make huge strides by supporting:
- The Save Our Forests Act;
- The SHADE Act; and
- Funding for the Urban and Community Forestry Program
