Climb the world’s tallest freestanding mountain
Why you'll love this trip
- Sleep in mountain huts and spend a day acclimatizing at Horombo – with a side trip to Zebra Rocks and Mawenzi Hut – to give you the best chance of reaching the summit.
- Trek with expert mountain guides (one for every two travelers) and a team of trained porters to carry the bulk of your gear, so you can climb with confidence and ease.
- Take in Tanzania’s alpine scenery on Kilimanjaro’s oldest route, passing through grasslands, fields of giant cacti-looking plants and meadows framed by dramatic slopes.
- Tackle the climactic final stretch to Uhuru Peak by lamplight and, weather permitting, watch the sunrise over icefields from behind Mt Kilimanjaro’s second-highest peak.
- As an official partner with the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project, you can hike with peace of mind knowing that while our porters are taking care of you, there’s someone looking out for them.
