This is an excellent minimalist tent with some cool and handy features. We loved how easy the setup was, and the two little vents in the rainfly worked extremely well to keep us nice and cool with no condensation when we woke up in the morning. The vestibule provides good space for smallish packs, but you might not be able to fully stand your backpack up underneath. I do wish the footprint (which comes separately) extended out a little into the vestibule area, but maybe I am just being picky. Overall I am very satisfied and can't wait to take it out again.
I bought this tent a month or so ago and finally had a chance to take it out on a 2-day backpacking trip in the Ozarks. On first use, the tent seems well made, and setup was quick and easy. Zippers are big enough to grip, storage pockets are great. No complaints, especially for the price.
Bought the tent to take to Canada. It Did keep me dry during several heavy mountain thunder showers. But I was traveling solo and the set up was doable but problematic. Raising the first pole was tough and ultimately bent one of the segments on the opposite side I was trying to install. I agree that the foot print should be larger, but a poncho took care of that space. The stuff sack has plenty of room for both footprint and tent. No condensation at night, but having to keep the doors closed due to heave rain meant no ventilation. But ultimately, good tent, good weight, good protection.
Literally just set it up in my living room as it just came in the mail. Love the compact design in it's bag and when set up makes for a large and roomy tent. The vertical walls make it feel very spacious. Good, solid construction. My 11 month old daughter and I were playing inside with the rainfly draped over top. It must have warmed up 10 degrees in a few minutes with our body heat! I can't wait to try it in the fall! Hopefully my husband will like it when he comes home from work. We'll break this puppy in when we go to Merritt Reservoir near Valentine, Nebraska for the Perseid meteor shower in August.
Have yet to put to use. Needed to add a tent for my camping supplies as well as incase of disaster. I am claustrophobic so needed more than just a 1person tent. This also was a great deal on REI. It comes with some nice perks as you can see if you read the description and specs. I like how it has only one entrance - not 2. If you had 2 people in the tent, I can see how having the 2 doors would be great, but if by yourself, having the one is best (for me). I'm excited to put this to use and update my review at that time! Happy camping!
We've had this for three years and have loved it. Easy to set up and plenty of room for 2.
