Comments about Asolo Velocity 4 Tent - 2012 Overstock:
Tent required repair right out of the box. There was a fly flap retainer toggle that was not sewn on properly and required immediate attention in order to not lose the loose toggle. The seams joining the floor to the mesh are poorly sewn and will probably need to be repaired and/or reinforced with the first or second use. The zippers are a timebomb waiting to go off. They are stretched so tightly into the mesh that even when the corners of the tent aren't staked out, they are very difficult to close. The measurements posted in the specs are deceiving. The actual floor dimensions are several inches shy of what they are supposed to be. The guylines that were supplied with the tent were insufficient to pitch the tent properly. I had to buy/add additional guylines in order to make the tent useable. I considered returning it immediately, but then I decided that I might as well keep it until the seams split and the zippers blow and then I'll send it in for warranty repair/replacement. Who knows, maybe I just got a lemon and the second one will be more agreeable. One thing is certain, based on this experience, I will avoid buying anything associated with this brand in the future and I will advise friends and clients to do likewise.
