Comments about Sierra Designs Trail Angel +19 Sleeping Bag - Women's - 2012 Closeout:
I used this sleeping bag for two nights on Assataeague Island in late April. It was freezing at night (outside the tent I was wearing a wool t-shirt, under armor base layer, fleece jacket, very light down jacket, and a rain shell... and still had to sit around a fire), but I was toasty in this sleeping bag. The down is super fluffy, but it packs down pretty small in a compression stuff sack for backpacking. The surface of the bag near the tent wall got wet during the night due to condensation, but I wiped it off with my camp towel and it seemed to dry pretty quickly.
I found it hard to zip up the bag quickly without snagging in several places. It wasn't hard to un-snag, just annoying, especially when it's cold and you want to zip up fast! It comes with a mesh storage bag and a stuff sack (the stuff sack is on the inside of the sleeping bag near where you put your feet--I didn't even notice it until I was airing out the sleeping bag when I got home from my trip). This is my first backpacking sleeping bag, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I would recommend it!

Comments about Sierra Designs Trail Angel +19 Sleeping Bag - Women's - 2012 Closeout:
I have been reading reviews and comparing specs on dozens of bags for more hours than I care to admit. I was disappointed there weren't any reviews for this bag, but I kept going back to it anyway. Although I need this bag for backpacking, my priorities are comfort and warmth. But clearly, weight and size also matter. There are definitely smaller and lighter bags out there. The Trail Angel has a high ratio of down filling compared to other bags, hence it's above average comfort and slightly higher weight and bulk. I'll admit, I was a little nervous when I saw it because it is so fluffy. I thought it might be too bulky for backpacking. However, it compresses nicely, the way down should. And I can stuff it into the bottom compartment of my pack, which is more ideal than a stuff sack. After slipping into this bag for a test dive on comfort, I realized I have exactly what I was searching for.
