Comments about Easton Mountain Products Kilo 3P Tent:
Just wanted to write an initial review since there aren't a lot out there. I've taken this tent on four weekend trips now and have had it in some light weather and it has performed great. All the components are very nice. The stakes are excellent, and the poles are ridiculously light. As a taller and bigger guy (6'1" 210) I very much enjoy the ample floor space in the Kilo 3P I dont have to worry about my head or feet pressing against the walls and there is plenty of width for my girlfriend and me. That is the main reason I purchased the tent, SPACE! And it has plenty for 2 people. Now there are a few things I wish I could change, but it's just impossible at this weight for this size tent. The vestibule is tiny. I can put my almost empty pack in it but it touches the fly and the door. The other thing is that it needs 10 stakes to pitch. That's a lot and I think it would be nearly impossible to pitch on rock with boulders for anchors, with that said the tent does pitch extremely taut. Overall I am very pleased with the tent and I realize I can't have it all, as should you. That's why I say this tent is good at what it does, and what it is, is a large 2 person tent that is extremely light and seems like it will be durable.
