Love your down bag but fear rainy weather? The Eleanor +30°F Lite sleeping bag features the new Sierra Designs DriDown™ finish for down insulation. It resists water and dries fast.

Regular down takes on water and is very difficult to dry; through the DriDown proprietary process, each individual down plume is treated with a hydrophobic finish
With the down now resistant to water, the insulation maintains its loft and stays dry 7 times longer than untreated down
It also performs better in high humidity than regular down, and in case it accidentally gets wet, it will dry out faster, too
Women-specific bags are cut to match a woman's shape, and provide extra insulation and warmth in the hood and feet areas
Lightweight yet durable 30-denier micro-ripstop polyester shell and comfortable, moisture-wicking polyester lining warms up fast
Baffle construction keeps down from migrating, eliminating cold spots
Full-length 2-way, double sliding zipper allows easy venting; locking slider is backed by wide, antisnag binding tape
Snag-free zipper tracks prevent the dreaded stuck zipper by creating a barrier between the lining and the zipper track

Have used this bag on three backpacks without a tent. It is roomy and warm. Bottom loft adds comfort to a minimal pad. Morning dew didn't affect warmth and bag dried quickly. On the downside, stuff sack water-proofing is coming off and zipper has snagged a few times.

To start off I bought this for my GF not for myself, and when it arrived via shipping I was kind of bummed because the small accessory pocket zipper was jammed… but! We all know how wonderful REI is and I simply took it in and they had a new one shipped to my home address again. I received the second one and no complaints. My girlfriend loves it and we did go out and tried it. Worked great, comfy and warm. She is a little Closter phobic and although this is similar to the standard mummy style, she had no problem sleeping in this. It still very compact though. But overall all great buy.
