Love your down bag but fear rainy weather? The women's Eleanor +20°F Hi sleeping bag features the new Sierra Designs DriDown™ finish for down insulation. It resists water and dries fast.

Regular down takes on water and is very difficult to dry; through the DriDown proprietary process, each individual down plume is treated with a hydrophobic finish
With the down now resistant to water, the insulation maintains its loft and stays dry 7 times longer than untreated down
It also performs better in high humidity than regular down, and in case it accidentally gets wet, it will dry out faster, too
Women-specific bags are cut to match a woman's shape, and provide extra insulation and warmth in the hood and feet areas
Lightweight yet durable 30-denier micro-ripstop polyester shell and comfortable, moisture-wicking polyester lining warms up fast
Baffle construction keeps down from migrating, eliminating cold spots

I used this bag while backpacking the W in Torres Del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile. The weather fluctuates from campsite to campsite, and this bag was perfect for all the weather-kept me warm during the glacier chill winds at night, and warm winds that came up from the valley plains! It was great, and VERY compactable- can fit in an 11 liter compression sack!
I, however, used a 16 liter stuff sack and it was great!

Excited for more and more and MORE adventures to come with this bag!

I just got this and so far I've only used it to nap on the couch, so I can't say much about performance yet, other than that I had an excellent nap. However, if you are a tall woman (or man) and considering this bag, please note that it is 72" long, it does not fit up to 72", as it currently states on the REI online spec sheet. The sierra designs web site as well as the tag that comes on the bag indicate that it fits up to 5'6". I am almost 5'8" and I do fit in the bag, without much of extra room. It does zip together quite well with the men's regular zissou 0 degree bag, which is longer. The zipper on the zissou is about an inch longer, so they don't match up perfectly, but it will work well for us. I will update once I've used it in the actual wild!
