12 ft. length maximizes speed and maneuverability on flatwater and chop; Naish names the Glide as an excellent board for cruising, downwinders and recreational racing
30 in. width provides great stability for paddlers of all abilities
AST construction features an EPS foam core, glass-composite lamination and a wood reinforcement in the stance area
Flat rocker, pointed, V-shape nose and soft rails create additional stability and speed
Soft rails also perform well in choppy water
Integrated deck pad provides exceptional grip when surfing and paddling flatwater; wood veneer reinforcement under deck pad increases durability and responsiveness
11.5 in. fin increases tracking, and center handle eases transport of the 31 lb. board to the water

I use this board touring on a lagoon near my house. I did notice that it is slightly more tippy than some of the other boards I have tried but it is great for crusing/touring. I would highly recommend it for flatwater but would not recommed it for waves.

Board is really nice and performs as advertised. It needs to be handled gently, though, and it's big and bulky. Naish has an innovative handle design which makes carrying this big board easy, but maneuvering in tight quarters and storing the thing is tricky. Rails seem especially fragile.

Service and delivery comments:

I had the board shipped to the store for pickup. The first one was damaged along the rails, but REI had another shipped that day and the second one was in good shape.

Aptly named the Glide...it keeps going and tacks well. Excellent as a touring or racing board. I'm 6'3" at 220 lbs, so the 5 5/8" rails and 30" width, 12'6" length offer stability and excellent displacement.
