      I did a lot of on line research, but not much on water, so true comparisons I can not write on. When it arrived at REI, the sales guys were all talking about the board, both how light and the overall looks, plus the tie downs. Apparently this was the first LPC board that had been ordered, but overall the stores don't stalk many SUP's. Extremely easy to carry around, well as easy a something 12"6" can be, but the weight is great and handle is almost placed in the right spot. Balance feels a bit off from where handle was placed and it is not the most comfortable grip, but overall does the trick. Very east to car top, just place on your head and then transfer and I do this on SUV's. I am 5'11" as a reference. On the water i just stood up and paddled and found it easy to use the first time. Also easy to work on different paddling techniques. I primarily use it on a NH lake, but have had it on the bay in Long Island and it handles fine in wind and boat wakes etc.... Not meant for surfing, but you can ride down wakes fine. The tie down bungee's, (although could be beefier) is a great for life jacket, dry sack, even to slip paddle under if you decide to dive off the board to cool off. Since this is a hollow board and so light, durability might be an issue and the info the company sends with it kind of makes it feel like it is.... Having to open a valvae due to heat or elevation is kind of annoying too, as it kind of leaves you wondering what happens if your not around to do so or simply forget...... Overall I am very pleased with this board and would recommend it to everyone, but those who want to surf. Lastly, my search was primarily limted to REI and [@] simply because they have the best service and warranty policies in the business.
