Comments about Arc'teryx Nozone 75 Pack:

The Nozone 75 from Arc'teryx fits into a niche that was missing in my quiver of packs. I have the Bora 95 for extended backcountry stays. I have the Osprey Stratos 36 for day hikes and short trips. But the Bora 95 is too heavy for 3 to 5 night trips while the Stratos is really lacks much support for heavier weights.
Enter the Nozone 75. It takes the latest technology in support and gives you a pack that will handle heavy weights, all with a weight of only 3 lbs 12 oz.
All of my trips this summer have been on class 2 and below backpacking excursions in the Sierras. As such I have used the pack on large talas fields, scrambling up off-trail passes and bouldering. So, Im am not using the pack as much as a technical climber but as a cross country backpacker. The Nozone may be more of a technical alpinist pack but it also works flawlessly for my needs. The pack has as much support as my Bora 95 and weighs so much less.
The materials are the same quality as my Bora except much lighter. My Bora is almost ten years old and looks like I just purchased it. This is one of the main reasons why I decided to purchase the pack (the main reason being a "perfect fit"). Arc'teryx packs last a very long time.
My only complaint is the top compression straps are to long. It is more of nuisance for me, but a climber might find them to be dangerously long. But a simple cut with a hot cutter at the local climbing store will take care of the problem in two minutes.
I've have three more trips planned this year and cant wait to load up my Nozone again!
