Comments about Kelty Coyote 75 Pack - Women's:
I backpacked through Europe for 2 and 1/2 months with this pack. Multiple plane trips and more train rides then I can count. 13 different countries and over 20 hostels...
This pack rocked! The more I backpacked with it the more I liked it. I was a comple Novice to backpacking so as traveled I learned how better to pack it and adjust it for optimum comfort. though even at the beginning it was plenty comfortable and packed in plenty of stuff!
The bag is made of a heavier fabric then most which adds mybe an extra pound of weight to it but it was well worth it. I saw more then a few people with duct taped together bags and patch jobs. My bag survived with out a single rip or hole (And I may have on occasion been lazy and dragged it accross the floor a few times). If you're going to be traveling a lot loading it on and off trains or checking it on the plane you can feel secure your bag will be safe. I'll definitly be able to use this bag again and again.
Multiple outside pockets were AMAZING to put things in I didn't want in my main pack (Smelly shoes and wet clothes).
Plenty of room for everything I needed and then some.I packed in enough clothes and toiletries for 2 1/2 months and pretty much everything else I might need (Including bedding and emergency rations) By the end of the trip I also had a fair amount of souveniers in the bag too along with 1 or 5 bottles of wine >8)
I'm a bigger girl and I was teriffied I would be unable to find a backpack with a hip belt that would fit me. No problem with this pack I had plenty of room and didn't feel like I was squeezing in everytime I buckled up.
There was only one thing I did not liek baout this pack. The travel pack. While it comes off somewhat easily it is in the end a big fannypack and I just couldn't walk afound with a fannypack. I never used it as a travel pack I did use it as the spot to put anything I might need out of my pack on train and bus trips though (food, water, chargers ect..)
In the end a great pack that I've used since my return on a couple weekend trips (when it's not fully packed it can be considered a carry on!)

Comments about Kelty Coyote 75 Pack - Women's:
I got this pack for a 30 mile 5day/4night backcountry hiking/camping trip at Glacier National Park, MT. I am 5'3" and carried 52 pounds of gear in this pack on our hike through the mountain trails. The support and padding that this pack provided were great for the heavy load I carried and for the distances we went, 15 miles in then 15 miles out.
I had this pack fitted for me at the store, so this may be why someone may not have a good fit. Be sure that you have the internal adjustment right before you begin with any of the outside straps. I did have the waist belt pulled to it's tightest like the other two people that reviewed this pack, but I had no problems with it at all.

Comments about Kelty Coyote 75 Pack - Women's:
This was a comfortable pack, and I wish that it fit me better so I could keep it! I had the same problem as the commenter above, the waist strap was too large. I took it on a short test hike before a longer trip and there was too much weight on my shoulders since I couldn't get the waist tight enough. I have a size 27 waist, or wear pants size 4-6, depending on the brand. Everything else about this pack was great, I just wish the waist could go smaller.

Comments about Kelty Coyote 75 Pack - Women's:
This pack has great pockets. It was easy to load my items. Not too heavy. Many adjustments on pack. I have a small waist and was unable to get the waist tight enough so it slipped the whole 12 miles. This is a great price but didn't work for me.

Comments about Kelty Coyote 75 Pack - Women's:
I am in love with this pack. Since I bought it about a year ago, I have used it for eight full months-- and not on any picnics, either. For twenty-five weeks, I was doing conservation work: intense backpacking to backcountry work sites where we then maintained hiking trails, usually. I loaded this thing down with at least 60-70 pounds of food, clothes and tools like axes, hoes, shovels, saws... all over the wilderness areas of Oregon, Washington, and Arizona (which is really tough on gear if you've ever been down there). I also spent two months backpacking all around the big island of Hawaii, where I was ruthless to this bag, sometimes dragging it on volcanic rock, sometimes throwing it out of the bed of a pickup truck. Literally every day on the island I would pack this thing back up and just beat it to death hitchhiking to some other beach to sleep on. Basically, I have not been kind to this thing. I'm amazed I could still use it after Hawaii.
The first things to go on my pack were the mesh pockets on the side, from the stress tool handles put on them when I'd strap hoes to the side of my bag. I only wish the pockets weren't mesh because it's a bit hard to patch them. And those went pretty fast--in the first ten weeks of use. But, I'm sure if I was keeping small items in there it wouldn't have been much of a problem.
After the mesh pockets nothing went wrong for months. It took 20 weeks of conservation work and then two months in Hawaii before I went to Arizona and finally, in my second week backcountry, one of the load lifters had enough and the shoulder strap tore just below the load lifter seam. I have yet to patch it, but once I do I intend to keep using this bag for as many more long journeys as I can get out of it. It's a wonderful, wonderful pack, and far more durable than many of those of the other members of my various trail crews. I've seen new packs literally fall apart a few weeks into the type of work I do, but my trusty Coyote has held it together long after I expected it to.

Comments about Kelty Coyote 75 Pack - Women's:
I was thrilled when I went into REI for my backpack and I was able to find one. I had hoped I could be in and out within a hour, but I realized to get the perfect fit I had to spend the time. Now my torso is shorter and this backpack was the only one that fit and felt so comfortable. So if you need a backpack that will fit your short torso, this may be the one for you!

Bought to use for training hikes and a 60 mile backcountry trip. Underfilled with gear after first few trips to keep buckles from slipping and still had problem. kelty made return difficult and I was very disappointed.
