I've used this tent the last 2 years and it is an excellent 1 person tent, or a couples tent. This is not a great choice for 2 big dudes, unless you are REALLY good friends.
This is the easiest tent to set up I have ever had, it is fairly light and built well. The rainfly does not breathe as well as advertised, but I have never actually gotten wet inside. The mesh is great for summer, though I have used this tent in 10 degree weather and it was fine inside.
I also replaced the stakes as the stock ones bent pretty easily in anything but soft, grassy fields.
I would recommend and would still buy it today.

I recently bought the Ridge 2 to replace the Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight that I've had for 22 years. I was looking for a lightweight 2-person freestanding tent for backpacking. I was looking for a 2-door tent to make it easier for 2 people to get in and out without bothering each other.

The Ridge2 is a little heavier than I would like, but it weighs about the same as the clip flashlight. That being said, I think it compares favorably with other freestanding 2-person backpacking tents in its price range.

It sets up super-easy.

What I really like about it is that it feels pretty roomy inside for its size. I am 5'10" and can easily sit up and move around inside. The 2-doors on the sides make it easy to get in and out of without having a wrestling match.

I haven't used it in the rain yet, but the fly seems like it will work well. The edges come close to the ground and slope gently to the crest, suggesting that it will shed wind well. The vestibule areas on both sides are roomy enough.

Great backpack tent, plenty of room for 1 person plus some stuff. Pack and boots fit outside under rain fly during rainy nights. Completely dry inside! Nice to be able see the stars on clear nights w/o rain fly.
