Comments about NRS C-Tug Boat Cart:
I purchased this about a year ago after lugging my 68lb 14 foot sit on top kayak a few hundred yards to a put in point then having to go back for all my gear. It had the features that I needed. Including
Mounting near the center supports most of the weight of the boat and the gear.
Large tires for easy rolling over rough terrain.
Quick disassembly for storage in my cargo hatch.
As other reviewers have noted, it is a bit complex to assemble but the instructions are clear. In use only four pieces are needed ( two tires and two frame) making it easy once you do it the first time. I find the included kickstand is not needed and just gets in the way. And I have had no issue with the tires.
In practical use, position it aft of the seat where the kayak has narrowed and tighten the strap just behind some tie down points. To move the boat, pick up the front and push so the resistance on the cart will force the strap to become tighter. Mounting this way you can load the rear cargo hold up with all the gear and water you will need and moving the boat will be easy.

Comments about NRS C-Tug Boat Cart:
I ordered and returned TWO of these carts. Both times, the tires failed in different ways on the first time that I used them. It is very lamentable to me, because this is the best designed Canoe/Kayak cart I have seen. Unfortunately the super poor quality of the tires makes this product extremely unreliable.

Comments about NRS C-Tug Boat Cart:
I have used this cart for several months now. Bottom line, it is a great cart! It quickly dissasembles and fits inside all my kayaks. The tires are fine, however the inner tubes are worthless. I blew one out on my very first try. The other one leaked air. I replaced them with new tubes from my local hardware store and have had no further problems. The straps work fine - just follow the assembly instructions very carefully. The versatility and quality of this cart far outweigh the problem with the inner tubes. Best cart I have ever owned.

Comments about NRS C-Tug Boat Cart:
I have a 17' kayak that I usually carry to the water fine, but have started doing a few overnight trips that require hauling the boat from bay side of barrier island to beach side. Carrying boat and overnight gear separately or together for 0.3-1 miles didn't sound like fun, so that is why I bought this cart. It worked out well on one trip so far. The main struts break down into long linear pieces that are easier to store in the hatches than most other kayak carts (The main reason I bought this model). The wheels are a nice compromise for varied conditions. A little slower in freshly blown fine sand, but hard enough to be good on pavement. I did have to inflate them the first time at gas station, but it took 2 minutes. Attachments were a little difficult to figure out but go it working ok.

Comments about NRS C-Tug Boat Cart:
This product is perfect for my application. I use it on a Advanced Elements inflatable kayak. It conforms nicely to the bottom shape. The kick stand makes for easy loading. The straps seem to always cause the wheels to be properly aligned when pulled tight. The clever design allows snap together assembly with no tools or hardware needed. I find no problems with the tires or tubes after 4 months of use. All the parts fit nicely in a storage bin inside our motor home or in our car trunk.

Comments about NRS C-Tug Boat Cart:
I love the NRS C-Tug Boat Cart. I originally got it for getting my TRIAK on and off the car. Then I found myself using it to get my boat in and out of the water. Now I take it on every trip.
I have found that my family of less enthusiastic paddlers find kayaking to be a little more enjoyable as we are all carrying less to and from the water and the cart is doing all the heavy lifting.
The only issue I have is with the tires. They need to be checked before each trip and re-inflated several times a season. I will likely be taking an earlier reviewers advice and getting new tubs for these tires.

Comments about NRS C-Tug Boat Cart:
This thing looks fantastic. It LOOKS well designed. Its not. I put it together (simple setup) and honest to god set it down on the floor only to have it fall apart. And no it was not due to failure to follow instructions or user error. It simply is a bad product. [...] Oh, I would have given it zero stars if that were an option.

Comments about NRS C-Tug Boat Cart:
What a fantastic piece of hardware. Took a few minutes to figure it out - but my wife read the instructions - it is a fabulous piece of engineering. Received it as a Christmas gift - stunning - all carts should be this good.
