Comments about Kelty Coyote 4500 Pack - Women's:
Have used this pack for 3 or 4 years now. Great pack with lots of room and storage space. Comfortable on extended hikes with superb lumbar support for long hikes on rough terrain without any evidence of soreness. This pack has traveled throughout Eastern/Western Europe and South America and still looks brand new despite the many airports along the way. I have the Coyote 4750 model, the 4500 is probably a better choice if I had the decision again.

Comments about Kelty Coyote 4500 Pack - Women's:
This is my first season using this pack and so far it has not only held up terrifically but it is comfy. While the pack itself is heavier the cushion of the padded hipbelt and shoulder straps and the durable material are worth the weight. I did find the capacity to be tight when packing for longer trips but as long as you can split items or are packing for a short trip it was adequete. The front loading is very convienant when you need to get something that's been packed in the middle or bottom. The functionality of this pack is great with the side and front pockets allowing easy access to commonly used items. The daisy chain and lashing straps work great to lash on additional items such as a tent or sleeping pad. After trying out several packs at the store this was definately the most comfortable choice and has proven to be true even with as much as a 30 lb load. I can definately tell this will be a durable pack that I will be using for years to come. The price was also a great selling point and everything Kelty I've owned has held up so it was a great choice and has been a great pack.

Comments about Kelty Coyote 4500 Pack - Women's:
As a beginning backpacker, I was looking for a pack that was comfortable, durable and also a good value. My first trip with this pack was 44 miles over 3 days in the Yosemite Wilderness, carrying just under 30 pounds. The pack is extremely roomy with a nice amount of outer storage for better organization and even weight distribution. It was extremely comfortable to carry and I never felt any strain on my shoulders or back. I am 5'6" with a small/medium frame and this pack adjusted perfectly to fit me.

Comments about Kelty Coyote 4500 Pack - Women's:
I use this pack for all my back packing in the Cascades, from 2-3 day hikes, to longer week long hikes. For longer hikes I do have trouble getting everything in, with all the additional food required.
I spent most of one day at REI trying on packs, this is the one that did not hurt my aching back!
The waist strap cups my hips, eliminating the "ride down" or "slippage" I have always gotten. The shoulder straps, load lifter straps and sternum strap are all easy to adjust for specific comfort.
I thought it was "normal" to hunch and lean way forward to offset the weight of a heavy back pack. NO! With this Kelty, I can stand tall! -and not tip over backwards! Yahoo!
It is heavier then I would like, but the comfort out weighs that, for me. I will lighten up my other gear, instead.

Comments about Kelty Coyote 4500 Pack - Women's:
This is my very first pack, and I have had it for over 2 years now (and believe me, I was crazy picky finding my pack). It has held up great over numerous trips, and it fits all the gear I have needed in an orderly fashion. It is comfortable on, but it does take me awhile to get the straps above my shoulders to a position that feel equally supportive without restricting any movement of my shoulders and neck. I mean, it will get to a comfortable and workable point, but it takes time. It is not the biggest pack, so if you do not go fairly lightweight or in a pair, you might be short on space for a longer trek. I do go backpack lightweight so I take this baby on longer trips, and it works great for me. The padding is good, and this pack places the weight equally on shoulders, hips, and back. It also accounts for my curves, and I love that, too.
