I took this pack on an overnight backpacking trip in the Gila Wilderness a few weekends ago. It loaded very well and carried half of the gear that my hiking buddy and I needed for the trip. The pack was supremely comfortable, and the mesh on the back makes it perfect for warmer weather. I also like the simplicity of the pack: one main compartment, the usual two brain compartments, and a slip-in pocket that expands a little.

There were only two concerns. First, it might fit everything you would need if you were backpacking by yourself, but I was glad not to have to fit tent, stove, food in just this pack: it was packed pretty tightly with half of that gear. Admittedly, I wasn't traveling ultra-light, but also didn't have anything that I didn't wear or use in the two days. Second, the hip belt straps are very slippery and kept loosening, so I had to keep adjusting it (not a big deal at all).

Overall, the problems are very minor, and this is a great pack for weekend trips (and gear-heavy day trips)! I would give it 4.5 stars if that were an option.
