Comments about Outdoor Products Insulated Water Bottle Holder - 1 Liter:
I found these to be completely worthless. I used them ice climbing last weekend, and I am going to return them this week. I had coffee in one, and water in the other. After about 30 minutes the coffee was pretty cold; after a few hours the water had ice in it. I would not expect the coffee to stay hot, but I did expect it to stay warm longer. From what I have seen the aluminum bottles are much better insulators. Additionally, these are bulky.

I used this product everyday. Wherever I was, so was some water, and so was this. I didn't actually realize how well it worked until I misplaced it for some time and had to drink from my 32oz Nalgene without it. Once, i put a bag of ice inside the cooler and traveled with this in my saddle bags, directly above the muffler, down the highway for approx 8 hours. At the end of the trip, the bag contained very little water, most of it still being ice. Can't beat that. A worthy investment if you wish to contain your temperatures.

Comments about Outdoor Products Insulated Water Bottle Holder - 1 Liter:
Took it out on a 15 deg. backpacking trip for 2 days & nights. If I melted some snow in the morning for water that day, the water was still not frozen by that night when I needed it. The water was cold though. A friend had the OR bottle parka and a 1L Nalgene bottle is a very tight fit in there, so much so, it was very difficult to get it out. My 1L Nalgene came out without any issue.

Comments about Outdoor Products Insulated Water Bottle Holder - 1 Liter:
I have used this product both at home and in the car when running errands. Even on very hot days(90 degrees or warmer) this has kept the water cold and ice is still present after several hours in the hot car. Insulates extraordinarily well.
It doesn't sweat, so it can be carried in a backpack without damaging papers or other items.
The only suggestions I have are: 1)that the insulator be a bit taller, so that bottles with
higher smaller openings can fit in, too. This is tall enough to easily carry the 32oz flat top water bottles, but cannot be used with the bottles with the higher caps. And 2)it would be great if there were one for the 24oz narrower, taller bottles, too. A suggestion for next year (-:
Overall, a wonderful product that provides the best insulation I have found for water bottles.

These holders actually fit REI water bottles and keep water cold for an entire day. Excellent quality.

Comments about Outdoor Products Insulated Water Bottle Holder - 1 Liter:
I bought this recently to use on an upcoming snowshoe/winter camping trip. Though of course it's purpose is to keep water hot or cold, my plan for it was to line it with a gallon sized ziplock bag, and in the morning of a long day hike, heat up my lunch beforehand at camp, pour it in, and 4-5 hours later, my lunch is hot (ideally) and ready to go.
Well, I tested it so far and I'm not certain this is the best product out there.
First at home, I boiled up some water, lined the inside of it with a ziplock like i planned to do, got the water to a soft boil, poured it in, sealed it, and threw it in the freezer. I'm not sure what temp it is in there but obvi less than 32F. Four hours later, I checked on it and it was warm, but definitely not hot anymore. Left it in overnight (another 8 hours) and in the morning it wasn't frozen but it was really cold.
I then tried taking my 1L nalgene, filling it up halfway (16oz) w/ cool water, putting that in the freezer with this, and by the next morning, it was frozen.
I wouldn't call those results outstanding if you check up on the O/R water parka reviews at a leading REI competitor. Some people there talk about having stuff stay hot for 8+ hours in 20F or lower. I don't think this item competes with that. I'll probably return it and go with O/R.
Overall, the construction is fine, the pockets are cool but not likely something I'll use. If you don't need super high performance, this probably suits most people well enough, but for a little more money, I'm guessing the O/R parkas are better.
