The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Guyot Designs Splashguard - Universal:
I like the idea of this item, but as I have started using it, I have noticed that it has a funny taste. I washed and cleaned it, but I can't get rid of that weird taste of the material.

Comments about Guyot Designs Splashguard - Universal:
I must say that I love this splash guard, much more so than the Nalgene version. It helps that it is flexible, and has more grip to the inside of the bottle. I use this with the standard Nalgene wide-mouth bottle, and it bothers me just a little that the fit is not quite perfect. While it performs by preventing splash, there are small gaps between the rim of the bottle and the splash guard right near where you drink, so if you are not careful, you can get a little bit of extra liquid coming out of the bottle and trickling down your face. Basically, it looks like it is puckering just a little bit cause the fit isn't quite perfected. I still like it, but just be forewarned.

I agree with all the great things about the product already listed here, however, a MAJOR flaw I have experienced with this product is MOLD. After about two years mold started appearing on the rubber despite weekly washings. It has now been four years since first purchased and I never use this insert anymore, only Nalgene brand. Simply because I prefer not to have my mouth on mold.

Great overall for all purposes (plus cool colors to match your bottle)! But sometimes slides down into the water.

Not much explanation needed here.
Great product, works perfectly and prevents spills if you're trying to sip on the move.
Easy to clean and once I wash it and the bottle, it stores right inside my 32 oz. Nalgene.

These are great with the traditional Nalgene bottles.

If you're like me and tend to spill down your front when you drink from a wide-mouth water bottle, this is just what you need. Also great for car trips or drinking anywhere on the move.

I must confess, I thought up a product like this before one existed, unfortunately Guyot beat me to the market. I much prefer the Guyot Splashguard over the Nalgene Big Sipper. This little piece of plastic makes it so much easier to drink from your widemouth Nalgene without spilling all over yourself! You can even fill your Nalgene from a water cooler without removing the splashguard. Makes a great "for no reason at all" gift for the Nalgene user in your life.

Comments about Guyot Designs Splashguard - Universal:
These little things are awesome! First of all, I previously had one which was made of a rigid plastic material and it was terrible (it wouldn't grip or seal as the silicone does). This one, however, is sweet. Perfect seal, perfect fit for my water bottle, and the Rasta design is the coolest. One of those musts for outdoorsy folks! Also, all you have to do to sterilize these/remove any unwanted odors is boil them for a few minutes (just like the directions suggest).

Comments about Guyot Designs Splashguard - Universal:
I bought the splash guard when I bought my 32oz widemouth nalgene. I kept it aside for the first month, using only the bottle itself just to see if I would have the characteristic "splash back", and to see if it really was difficult to drink from while moving. Conclusion: yes to both. Having now used the splash guard, I would recommend it to everyone and would not turn back. I did notice a different taste to the water for the first couple of uses, but after washing it a couple times, that went away. It enabled me to continue running, walking or otherwise be moving without having to worry about getting water all over my face. It fit perfectly into my widemouth bottle and is staying there really well. This guard is very well designed, and I highly recommend it!
