The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Travel Chair Big Bubba Chair:
The first chair delivered literally broke the first time I sat in it - the foot rest connector broke. REI graciously replaced that one. Its replacement also broke after only a month's worth of limited use - the front metal support beam broke. I don't plan to ask for a third. I am not small at 6'1" 210 lbs, but I think that the chair should have been able to handle that weight. I thoguht that I was sacrificing lightweight for sturdy in a chair that I would only be using recreationally and not having to carry it while hiking. I was mistaken. I have ten dollar chairs from the summer recreation isle at the grocery store that have lasted much longer.

Comments about Travel Chair Big Bubba Chair:
Was apprehensive about these chairs after reading reviews, especially with a [$]price tag. At first they were great, comfortable... bought them as a wedding gift. However, within two weeks one of them has broken in the same spot that is described in the other posts...I'm waiting to see what will happen with the other... looks like the price has gone down, too bad. Will return and try again, but I'm not holding my breath. Come on REI, you ought to do better than this. [...]

Comments about Travel Chair Big Bubba Chair:
I've owned several of the folding type chairs over the years. I've taken this one to Bonnaroo & All-Good Festivals as well as several camping trips. It's a great chair! I'm 6'1" & 240lbs and haven't had an issue with it!

Comments about Travel Chair Big Bubba Chair:
Bought two of these several years ago when the seat and back were mesh. Those lasted for years of regular use by not-so-skinny users (understatement?). When one finally broke, I immediately bought a new one (not from REI sadly), and it broke within a couple of months and the company would not honor the warranty. The heavy denier fabric isn't nearly as breathable as the old mesh - better on a cool evening by the campfire, but murderously sweaty on a warm day in the sun. Way more comfortable than the cheap bag chairs thanks to the widely placed shoulder supports that don't jab you like the really cheap chairs. They had me for life until they skimped on the quality and materials. I'm now looking elsewhere for a replacement...

Comments about Travel Chair Big Bubba Chair:
Bought two of these. One of the foot rest was broke straight out ot the bag. Returned to REI [...], but the new one off the self was broke too.The connecting nut from the chair to the leg rest is plastic. Very cheap! The nut needs to be metal.[...].If you buy one take it out of the bag to ensure it is not broke from the store. Be very careful with this chair! It's plastic connections.

Heavy Duty.. I used it daily and I mean daily for at least 5 years and I weight 225lbs. Incredibily, almost indestructible. It finally broke and I'm ordering another immediately.

Comments about Travel Chair Big Bubba Chair:
I bought four of these chairs and loved them...until one by one they all broke. The rods that connect the foot rest to the chair break very easily. They're cheap quality...don't waste your money. I actually returned the first one that broke, and the replacement broke, so FIVE that I've owned have failed. Each time I was only sitting on the chair when they broke. DON'T BUT THIS CHAIR!

This is a little heavy but the pros outweigh the cons that the weight isn't even worth deducting a star.

Comments about Travel Chair Big Bubba Chair:
We bought 4 of these to use in our backyard and on camp trips. We love them! The only thing my daughter has encountered is that if you're not tall enough the pillow may not be very comfortable for use. But will definitley buy again.
