Comments about The North Face Ligero 50 Pack:

I bought the pack for sport climbing. Oddly, my old sport pack, the Dana Designs Humbug Spire, is 1/3rd smaller than this pack - and yet, this pack fits less in it. For climbing, it just doesn't work. It has a long, slender shape to it - rather than a fatter shape that can take the bulk of a rope, etc. I also bought the medium, and I'm a 5'4" woman, and it was too short in the torso.
