Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
The Bora 95, was spoken of long time before we got it in Norway. So our expectations were sky high. Me and 3 of my friends bought it at the same time, and started to abuse it on wilderness/mountaineering trips in Norway and Greenland. We like the pack, bot we dont love it.The opening containing the neck ditch, makes it too tight to put down our -40 sleeping bags. The zipperopening at the bottom should also be oval, wich would make it easier to put in large items/bags. The hippadding never fitted us, it was too much padded. The lid was too small for the enormous amount of gear you need for 4 weeks wintergear/food, military gear.95 L is too little. It should have been 130 L. Then you can put all your wintergear down in it.Altough it is sturdy, rough and bombproof, there are alternatives on the market.[...]

Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
after using my dad's 30-year-old jansport backpack for all my outdoor adventures, i got a deal on this pack, [...]...what a great pack. after not having backpacked in a year, i took this pack out on a 30-mile backpacking trip on the AT in western MD, and i was not chaffed, scratched, or uncomfortable at all. absolutely the most comfortable pack i have ever used. one thing i wish they would do is change the sternum strap from elastic to nylon webbing because i feel that it didn't quite pull the straps in as tight as i would have liked, but it did not make the pack uncomfortable at all, just would be an improvement. absolutely love it, would buy another one in an instant and would completely and totally recommend it to a friend.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
I consider myself a minimalist - but I'm a comfort driven gadget freak. So I carry everything you can think of. I like (ultralight)"gram-winnie" gear but only if it works. I lug real pots and pans, real food, Dragonfly stove plus fuel, heavy sleeping bag, 3 man REI Taj tent, insulated air mattress and chair, hammock, fishing pole and gear, water filter, tons of first aid and safty gear, dry bag, lights, knives, climbing gear, GPS and maps, etc., etc. (usually 50 to 70 lbs worth)
This pack is a Sherpa's dream. Ultra adjustable, super comfy and BOMBPROOF! If you can carry it - this pack will haul it (and more) in comfortable style.
Side Note: Make sure your waist belt is big enough and it will transfer all that weight to your hips effortlessly. (Or wherever you want it for that matter) The Bora 95 is truly a Pack Mule !!!
The fun part is when someone ask, "How'd you get all this stuff up here? LOL

Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
Good, highly adjustable, comfortable pack with great capacity. The water tight zippers are not water tight, especially for the sleeping bag compartment. The noggin notch, while a good concept, is poorly designed in that a full load will break the thin plastic holding bars. This part needs to be redesigned.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
This pack is not light, and for that reason I have started using an awesome little Mountainsmith pack that I found at a gear swap [...] that is half the weight. HOWEVER, the Bora 95 is truly a powerhouse of a pack, and it's nearly large enough to stuff a house into. I took this pack on a 7 day backpack deep into Glacier National Park a couple of years ago. On the last day, I had to take some weight off of my wife because she was struggling. That day I hiked 17+ miles including over 4000 ft. of vertical with over 70 lbs on my back. My feet went numb, but I don't recall the pack being uncomfortable at all. I'm sure I must have felt some discomfort, but the pack was as comfortable as one could possibly expect while loaded with 70 pounds of gear. For really heavy and/or bulky loads, this pack is phenomenal. If you do mostly 2-3 day trips, unless you really must have the whole house with you (which used to be me), this pack is probably overkill.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
The absolute long distance pack I've used or owned.
It fits my back like an easy chair, abeit one I am carrying. It does not bruise or cause soreness after long days of walking.
On one trip crossing a stream, like an idiot I didn't loosen the straps. I fell in. It was deep and I was in a desperate fight for my life to get out and not drown. When I pulled myself out, nothing was wet in the pack, and it had been deep underwater.
Also the stitching has not loosened after several years of over stuffing, something that ruined previous packs.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
This pack was amazing. I used this pack on a 40 day NOLS backpacking expedition in the Kimberly Outback in Western Australia. This trip pushed the limit on wear and tear to your gear and this pack was rock solid. This pack was carrying 30kilo (70pounds) during its time in the outback and did it very well. If you are looking for the best expedition pack there is then the Bora 95 is what you want. This pack's perfectly built, extremely durable, and fits and adjust to all body shapes and sizes. Plus, everything else that you want in a pro backpack. Words seriously can't describe how awesome this pack is. Arcteryx is the only pack I'll ever own...

Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
When I purchased this pack, I was looking for the most comfortable pack I could find. It's hard to imagine there is one more comfortable than this one. But there is a price to pay for the comfort, both in the cost of the pack, and the fact that it's a bit heavy. It's still worth it to me, on both counts, because it's so comfortable.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Bora 95 Pack:
I took this pack on a 600 mile hike in Israel. It is a big, strong beast, but needs a bit of refinement. 1) The water bottle holsters are very poorly designed. They are lower than the base of the pack, and thus you can't put the pack down without putting high pressure on them. Thus both of them started ripping. Stretchy pockets would work much better. 2) Keep in mind that this pack is HUGE! Do not buy it unless you really need enormous capacity. I was actually disappointed because it was too big for me, but that was my fault, not the pack's. 3) This pack is also very heavy. Granted, it is extremely durable and well built, but weight is the price you pay for it. Other then that, this pack is top notch quality.
