Comments about Arc'Teryx Naos 55 Pack:
Great pack! Some might consider it difficult to load since its basically one big bag, but in my experience, I always load and unload my bag contents every night (extract night/camp gear, hang bear bag, etc.). So I don't consider that a big deal. I like the fact I don't need to carry a rain cover. Good fit and comforable on long hikes. This pack would be perfect if it had side mesh pockets (either for water bottle or to rest gear in -- e.g. tent poles). Because of this shortcoming, I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if I could...its still a great pack.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Naos 55 Pack:
This is simply the best backpack that has ever traversed these shoulders. 40lbs, 50 miles, 3 days on and around Mt Rainier and my hips shoulders and back were left joyously pain free. I hardly noticed the poundage I was carrying. No hip rubbing or shoulder strain! This simple, flexible yet tough backpack seems built to last. It makes this once price wary backpacking buyer feel that every wallet crunching cent spent was well worth its proverbial weight in gold. In my opinion A VERY SOLID BUY!

Comments about Arc'Teryx Naos 55 Pack:
This pack has spent the last year in Zion Narrows, Havasupai, Buckskin Gulch (Paria), trekking in Nepal, snow camping in the Wasatch, and everywhere else I could manage to get it. It will comfortably carry 50# loads, and I have experienced zero discomfort on 20+ mile loaded jaunts. If you need big space, this pack is not for you, but if you carry light and go hard it is an absolute machine. Oh yeah, and it is TOTALLY waterproof. I mean this puppy would float to Mexico if you dropped it off Hoover Dam.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Naos 55 Pack:
From my experiences with backpacking, I find quite often that people lose sight of the experience due to too much focus on their gear. The simple and efficient design of this pack helps relieve such distractions. It's essentially one giant waterproof bag. You throw all you stuff in it and go - no looking back or double checking. You don't need to mess with waterproof stuff sacks or with fumbling around for rain covers. You also don't need to sort through 100 different zippers to remember which tiny compartment you put some obscure item in. Throw all your small things in the lid or throw them in a small bag and stuff it in the main compartment. The dry bag closure is deceptive in that this bag actually gets much larger than its rated 55L capacity. I've packed for a 4 day trip with this bag with no problems and I'm not an obsessively light-weight packer either. Speaking of which, this bag is not that heavy considering you don't need the extra weight of raincovers or drybags. The suspension is phenomenal and comfort unmatched by any other pack in this weight class.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Naos 55 Pack:
The Naos is a great pack. Simple, rugged, light, waterproof, and expensive! This is a great product if you have the money to dish out. The pack is completely waterproof and very comfortable. Great for those trips down in Escalante, Utah in the slot canyons during some wet weather or trudging through some canyon water.
