I bought these shoes specifically to use while canyoneering. I bought two pair because they have been discontinued and the preferance would have been for the "Savant" (waterproof)model which have been discontinued as well. I'm hoping 5.10 is considering a replacement to the "Savant"

These have the famous grip of 5-10 stealth rubber, and a fairly wide toe box. The midsole is thick, but the shoes feel stable on uneven terrain (on many 5-10 models, one feels precariously perched). Too bad this model will be discontinued.

Nice shoes...
But NOT true to size. Toes hit the front of the shoe. Ordered size 11. Got em delivered. Too small. Now there are no size 11.5 in stock. I have send them back. The nearest REI is 3 hours away. What a pain. This is why I hesitate to order shoes on-line. Why did the REI rep tell me they were true to size????

Since there was no width indicated at purchase I was concerned about fit since it was an online purchase. I use a 8.5 wide size, this shoe is wide enough and confortable. I was impressed with the appearance and construction. I will seek out 5/10 products.
