I purchased this to compliment or replace my Green Guru Dutchy pannier which serves as a basis for comparison. The Carbon Cooler is bulkier to the point that with only my bike lock and cable, I have to use the top side velcro. Makes for a floppy bag. The Dutchy let's you squeeze/tightly wrap and utilize the lower velcro. I had to remove the cutting board for bulk sake as well.

I do enjoy the zippered outside pocket on the flap for multi-tool, keys, playing cards, etc. The interior webbing helps keep the sanity with organization too. The thermal ability is a nice to have although I'm not sure how a blackish bag is going to fare in extended sun...

I'd recommend this bag for picnics and outings to the park. I'm using it for a daily commute/grocery shopper just to give it a thorough try-out. I look at the Dutchy everyday on my girlfriend's bike and miss it! If the velcro on the bottom side was extended a bit to secure smaller loads, I'd go for a 5 star rating. Thanks Green Guru for great products!
