Great first line
Yep 52 years young and was interested in trying to slack line. My wife got this one for me December 2015. Set it up in the garage works great. Use it outdoors for camping works awesome great first line to buy highly recommend it great value.
My Favorite So Far
I was introduced to slacklining about a year ago and fell in love. I begged my parents to buy me a line (before I wanted to drop a bunch of money myself ;D). This was the line they bought me and I absolutely love it. Its a wonderful line for beginners because it is very sturdy and set up is quick and simple. I noticed others saying the ratchet is a bit scary to deal with but honestly I didn't know any better and haven't had any problems. I strongly suggest this line if you are considering getting into the hobby. I keep mine in my car so I can pull it out and slack whenever I feel it. Its a yes from me.
Love it!
I love this slack line. It stretches enough to make balancing on it challenging, yet not so much that I'm continually frustrated. It comes with a carrying case. So i take it everywhere (well not to the grocery store.) I was worried about how the rachet would fair in the soggy damp weather here (I'm ocean-side.) I have been impressed! So far, so good. One suggestion, put gloves on when you release the ratchet tension to take down the line. Just feels safer for the fingers. My neighbors have been watching my balancing progress and asked to try it out. Actually the whole neighborhood and all my friends have had a go on it. Even my 80 year old dad walked this line (with some balance support). None of them had ever heard of a slack-line before. Looking forward to getting good enough to graduate to a 1 inch line. When I do, I'll purchase another one from ENO.
ForestPotatoe
I was introduced to slacklines about two years ago but living in NYC makes it a bit hard to find the space to set one up. I love ENO products and am happy to say that they have surpassed my expectations once again. "Slackwire" is easy to set up, thought it takes some practice. The carrying case is very convenient and the package comes with directions too. I don't need to worry about the ratchet coming loose after having a few passes on the line (I always check it every 10-15 passes though as a personal preference). Overall, I am very pleased and highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun challenge.
Great Slack Line
When I bought this eno slack line it was my first slackline. I was really supprised by how much of a workout just walking back and forward could be. The convienient carry bag makes this a classy product. Be sure to warn your friends that you take no responsibility for their actions or results of using the line.
It's pretty good.
This slackline works well for a beginner. The handle is very uncomfortable to use as it's an I-Beam type design and digs painfully into my hands. I would recommend either using gloves to set up, or adding your own tape / rubber wrapping for the handle. The webbing is a nice blue color, and feels good while on the line. After a few uses the webbing is shedding its dye on my hands when I put it away. Ultimately, I think this is a fair value and would recommend it to someone wanting to explore a slackline practice.
Great times
Love the portability and easy set up. Have enjoyed many hours of family fun enjoying this..
Well made, easy to set up.
Lots of fun, I do miss the "cheater" line that comes with some other products but will enjoy this a lot.
Basic
Not much to love; not much to hate. It's definitely REI's most convenient slack package, comes in a carrying case which I don't believe the rest of what rei carries do. The crank it low quality but gets the job done. It would be great if that had a slack kit that came with one inch webbing but I've yet to see one on here.
First one used and purchases
Seen these before and wanted to get one for a little. Wanted to start slacklining just increase balance and body control. Looks to be well made and I have no complaints from my time using it. Seems to be a good beginner line. Easy to attach and the rachet is way to use also. Plus the carry bag is nice to use with
