Comments about Seattle Sports Sun Shower - 5 gal.:
This product is poorly designed to be unusable. I cannot believe that the mfgr actually tested it or its employees use it.
Back in the 1990s, REI had a solar shower made from a heavy vinyl. It had a black reverse side, and clear plastic front. You set it with the clear up and the water sat on the black backing. It would readily heat to 110-115 degrees. The hose neatly coiled into a pocket. Mine lasted ten years.
I replaced it with the forerunner of this model. Three became unusable in less than a month's use.
Then I acquired this newly designed version.
1. To fill it, instead of a screw top, which created a firm opening in which a hose could be rested, this one has a flimsy plastic, unformed opening.
2. To close it, you slide a loose clamp, which serves as the hanger. Water weighs roughly 10 pounds per gallon. The 5 gallon unit weighs 50 pounds.
3. Hold this by the handle, and the flimsly, slick plastic just slides right out, and you get 5 gallons of water on your pants...or worse all over your car.
DO NOT BUY THIS.
