The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated5out of5byMonroefromFor xcountry skiingGreat product for day skiing. Wax, cork and an energy bar fit in the pocket. The bottle closure system is positive and doesn't leak. I used the same bottles on a cross-country bike ride and now prefer them over the old pull style.

Rated4out of5bykeemosabifromI more to add to my collectionI bought this not for training purposes but for races. Saw that it was on sale in the store. and it reminded me that some larger races (since Boston) don't allow runners to use backpack- or vest-style hydration systems, which I own as well. So added this to my gear list.
I've used this a number of time now during longer runs and this is what I've found:
All my other squeeze bottles fit into the holster nicely, just snug enough that the bottles goes in and out easily without breaking my stride. At the same time, it doesn't feel like the bottle is going to fall out at any time.
Even though the design of the bottle holster is angled, it doesn't feel uneven on the waist line when I run. I don't feel any jostling either. Weigh distribution is just right.
The zipper pocket fits for my car remote control, phone & a few gels. The key clip is a nice feature to have so that I don't worry about losing my key while pulling out a gel or something. There's also a elastic mesh pocket in size to create another compartment.
As for the water bottle, it's insulated, it's got that fancy valve... it works. I have one that I have used previously and loved it. So, the combo of the waistpack & the bottle is just right for me.
Must say it's a great addition to my running hydration gears. It'll come in handy. But I do still love my ultrastire vest better.

Rated4out of5byJesplattfromHandy water packI usually need more water than this for most activities, but it is great for quick bike rides, like through town or to work, or short hikes were a full hydration pack is unnecessary. It is also convenient if you just love to drink water and do not want to have to keep track of a water bottle! Comfort is great, but wish the pocket was a little more expansive for things like a cell phone and some cash and maybe a food bar.
