REI Members get back an estimated $ 3.70 on this item as part of their annual member refund.

    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromcomfortable waistpack This is a great waistpack for day hikes. It's comfortable, has enough storage in the pocket for an iPhone and small wallet. The water bottle keeps water cool and is large enough for a warm days hike.

by fromworks great! I was a little nervous about how it would work, but it worked great. The bag stays in place while running! And the sports top on the bottle is handy. It's been perfect for half marathon training.

by fromFor xcountry skiing Great product for day skiing. Wax, cork and an energy bar fit in the pocket. The bottle closure system is positive and doesn't leak. I used the same bottles on a cross-country bike ride and now prefer them over the old pull style.

by fromHandy water pack I usually need more water than this for most activities, but it is great for quick bike rides, like through town or to work, or short hikes were a full hydration pack is unnecessary. It is also convenient if you just love to drink water and do not want to have to keep track of a water bottle! Comfort is great, but wish the pocket was a little more expansive for things like a cell phone and some cash and maybe a food bar.

by fromI more to add to my collection I bought this not for training purposes but for races. Saw that it was on sale in the store. and it reminded me that some larger races (since Boston) don't allow runners to use backpack- or vest-style hydration systems, which I own as well. So added this to my gear list. I've used this a number of time now during longer runs and this is what I've found: All my other squeeze bottles fit into the holster nicely, just snug enough that the bottles goes in and out easily without breaking my stride. At the same time, it doesn't feel like the bottle is going to fall out at any time. Even though the design of the bottle holster is angled, it doesn't feel uneven on the waist line when I run. I don't feel any jostling either. Weigh distribution is just right. The zipper pocket fits for my car remote control, phone & a few gels. The key clip is a nice feature to have so that I don't worry about losing my key while pulling out a gel or something. There's also a elastic mesh pocket in size to create another compartment. As for the water bottle, it's insulated, it's got that fancy valve... it works. I have one that I have used previously and loved it. So, the combo of the waistpack & the bottle is just right for me. Must say it's a great addition to my running hydration gears. It'll come in handy. But I do still love my ultrastire vest better.

by fromGood for half-marathon training I've used this pack for two runs of about 8 miles each on paved trails and sidewalk in mild weather (60-70 F). Here are my impressions of the pack so far: - Good size for shorter runs where you don't need a lot of stuff or extra layers to stash. I typically carry the following, and it fits in the zip pocket: asthma inhaler, ID/credit card, jelly beans or a GU, body glide stick. - The water bottle is easy to use while running. Just bite down while squeezing the bottle. Pretty easy to remove from the holster using both hands due to the grab strap under the bottle. - Filled with ice water, the water stays cold for about an hour with the valve open. - Stays in place on my waist relatively well. My waist is high and much smaller than my hips, so I really have to crank it down (almost to the point of discomfort) to get it to stay put, especially when the bottle is full. I think I'd have some issues in this area no matter what pack I used. This pack fit much better than a similar Ultimate Direction pack I tried. So, I would recommend this pack to other small-waisted women. - Bottle stays stable and doesn't slide around in the holster while running. - Having only used this twice, I can't comment on durability. Initial impression is that it seems well made.
