      I bought these shorts primarily for work, where I create visual indoor and outdoor displays at a home and garden store. They were the only shorts I tried on that were a perfect fit from the beginning, and a perfect price point. I haven't been disappointed in the last month I've been wearing them! The material is stretchy yet durable; perfect for doing a lot of bending, carrying heavy pots, and shoving plants into hard-to-reach locations. I've had box cutters, scissors and screwdrivers thrown into my back pockets; the material hasn't broken through yet, not even weakened. The length is ideal for modesty and comfort in a public retail environment. The waist fits great without binding; it's a nice wide waistband. I have "curvy" thighs, and amazingly the cut does not make them look like sausages they way some do, nor do they look even bigger than they actually are. A rare find! And the material has been light and breathable in 90% humidity. Can't say enough. I've been meaning to get back to REI to get a 2nd pair!
