      I splurged and bought this based on a review in DirtRag. It puts my old light to shame. It's so bright, I worry that I might be blinding on coming cars. Very easy to install and use. The satellite battery pack is compact and fits securely under my top tube, but just as easily could fit in a shirt/jacket pocket. The cables are plenty long enough to allow a wide variety of mounting possibilities, both for the light and the battery. The only down side is the price.

        The visibility and battery life were great. Replaced my L&M Stella. The helmet mount never mounted very well. Used it on a Giro Pneumo, and while that may have been part of the problem, there was never an issue with the Stella.

        Very sensitive to impact. Don't even drop it on carpet. Mine is now toast. I would not want to ride this on trails at night. Never had this problem with the Stella.

        Thankful for the REI return policy. Will try their CygoLite
