Rated5out of5byBrymanfromAwesome dealI'm 6 foot 220 I read the other reviews and ordered the large it was way to small I ended up sending it back and got the 2x it's a little big but a sweat shirt fits nicely underneath it. It is nice and warm very comfortable and it holds out the wind also all in all best money I've ever spent on a jacket

Rated4out of5byhobiejeepguyfromExactly what I thought it would be.Bought as a lining for my ski shell, but I've been wearing it around town and I like it. The lining in the pockets keeps my hands surprisingly warm and the neck lining is very comfortable.

Rated3out of5byXrpfromGood, but not greatSome parts of this jacket's description label it as 800-fill down, some labels it as 700-fill down.
It is 700-fill down and has a 700-fill down label on the sleeve.
This jacket adds warmth, but not a significant amount. It keeps me comfortable down into the 40s, but I start to feel cold below that.
The colors are nice and wear well. The fit is excellent, provided you are a relatively fit individual.
Unfortunately the jacket doesn't pack into one of its own pockets, like some other down fill sweaters/jackets. I can stuff it into a little stuff sack, but it doesn't compress as much as say a Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisperer.
It's also rather heavy...at 15oz-16oz.
While I bought it and will keep it, I'd recommend anyone else use their money towards a Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisperer. If you only want to spend $120-ish on a down jacket, then this one is fine.

Rated4out of5bybonzai mountain manfromgood quality, good looksI use the sweater-jacket for casual wear, cool mornings, and as a layer under my waterproof shell

Rated3out of5bywaterlassiefromNot true to sizeTried smaller size and it was way too tight thought the shoulders/back area. Went up one size -- overall fit larger, but tight across the shoulders. Too tight to be practical when lifting a backpack off and on. Jacket was otherwise very light and seemed like a good buy.

Rated3out of5bywaterlassiefromDidn't fitCan't really attest to the performance of this jacket as I never found one that fit. The first size fit everywhere except across the shoulders and through the chest, couldn't get it zipped easily. Took it back and got the larger size which was a little big through the torso, but still was very restrictive across the shoulders. Couldn't put my backpack on without straining the seams. Took it back too. Will go back to a brand that runs more true to size.

Rated5out of5bySaunefafromCost Effective Down JacketThis is what an affordable down jacket should be. As someone just getting into backpacking, I've taken this jacket with me to the desert where night temperature can drop below 30 degrees F. It's lightwieght and can pack into small volume. Absolutely great for any layer (base, intermediate, outer)
As far as the fit goes, I am a 5'7" slender male with slightly larger than average shoulder width. The medium size is a perfect fit and I haven't noticed any fit issues the other reviewers have experienced. The waist may feel a little on the short side because this jacket will work as a good base layer.

Rated4out of5byDarellddfromGreat except for fit.Everything about this jacket is high quality and exactly what I was looking for... except the fit across the back/through the shoulders. Because there is no give in this material, it pulled too tight across the back for me to lift my arms in front of me.... even in Size Large (sizing chart has me falling directly between M and L. I have wider shoulders than average, and this is a problem I have with many garments, so take it with a grain of salt. I REALLY wanted to keep this, but it just wouldn't work.
