Comments about Mountain Hardwear Integral Zip Top - Women's - 2011 Closeout:
This underlayer is exactly what I had been in the market for: a non-bulky, lightweight baselayer that will keep me dry when I start sweating on long, cool hikes or while snowshoing up hills. The breathable mesh panels really are great- they promote evaporatation of underarm perspiration while the rest of you stays warm and dry in the wool-polyester blend, and they also help with air flow so that your core doesn't get too hot. The wool-poly panels are suprisingly warm for how thin they are. The zipper is also nice for temperature control when it gets a little warmer out than you expected.
Size-wise, in general baselayer smalls are usually a little too tight on me, while mediums are a little too big (I'm 5'5", with a 34-36 bra size), and I got the medium. It is a tiny bit too large, but the fabric is somewhat clingy and I'm happy with my choice.
I would have given it 5 stars, but the mesh panels under the armpits are already showing some wear from rubbing against the straps of my backpack. You probably won't have this problem if you use it strictly as a baselayer under clothes. Still, I would definitely buy this again.
