Comments about Marmot Gravity Jacket - Men's - 2011 Closeout:

It's all about using the right tool for the job and the Gravity jacket is a great tool to have in your tool box. It's a lightweight, wind and waterproof, breathable, stretchy softshell that's meant to be worn when you're active and moving. The snug slim design works well with Marmot's stretchy shell material; it doesn't inhibit my range of motion at all no matter what I'm doing.

I use mine with quality base and midlayers down to freezing temps and never feel the chill. The fleece lining feels cozy close to the skin. The outershell is breathable so my skin doesn't get clamy. The wind and waterproof qualities of the outershell are amazing, water actually beads up like on a waxed car.

This is my go to jacket when I'm going to be active and need something lightweight (and not bulky) to keep me warm and dry. It would be hard to improve on this jacket with two exceptions...a hood(check out Marmot's Super Gravity jacket) and armpit zippers for a little more body temp regulting ability.
