Comments about Snow Peak Trek 1400 Titanium Cookset:
Great Pot! Purchased it for a Boy Scout outing. Used it to boil water - which it did very quickly - and used the fry pan lid to simmer up some breakfast. The handle seemed very secure and not flimsy at all. The handle did get hot though when I was boiling water and I had to use either a glove or bandana to grip it - this may have been because I used a wind shield with the stove and it channelled the heat all around the pot. I had no problem using a plastic spatula, some warm water and a drop of soap to thoroughly clean the lid after I had burnt eggs and potatoes on it. I especially liked the size of the pot - I was able to boil alot of water for backpacking meals and hot drinks. Also, my stove and fuel nested easily in the pot, saving some space.

Comments about Snow Peak Trek 1400 Titanium Cookset:
The 1400 Snow-peak is hands down one of the best purchases I have made. I have owned stainless pot's which weigh in excess 3 times the weight of titanium. Stainless has no durability benefit over titanium when you compare the metal gauge. Titanium is so indestructible that manufacturer's can further reduce the gauge to attain the effect of true ultralight pot which is what makes these pots so desirable. A stainless steel pot with the same factor would be flimsy and unstable as so many claim when they compare a ultralight pot to an 2lb MSR stainless pot. This pot cooks for my entire family on a backpacking trip that's five meals 3 times a day. Thats allot of water folks. I typically throw this pot on a bed of coals from our campfire. I use a snow-peak lite-max stove when backpacking with the family this pot has no stability issues. I like so many have struggled to boiled water on any stove when the most likely problem is the surface which the stove sits is unstable or level I use a a very advanced method call a flat rock and get it as close to level as possible before I start cooking works great. The pot has no issues. This pot gets dirty all the time as far as cleaning I throw it right into the fire and watch it turn bright red roll it around pick it out with a stick and it retains shape and integrity. Any pot when putting food inside it will stick "DUH" use oil or butter in a little GoToob. This is my family pot and take this with my on solo packs to. Its Nice at night to boil enough water for my food, and a cup of coco at the same time and have room to spare for a friend. In the morning my breakfast meal, cup of coffee or two, and occasionally I make muffins in a silicone cup steaming in the top pan/lid turned over. Anyway you look at it I use this pot for its capacity if I wanted to use a 900 Snow-peak I would have to boil water two or three times when with the family this pot gets the job done in one swoop weighs less than half a lb get rid of the lid make an aluminum DIY lid and you have a 5oz giant pot that's indestructible, reliable, light, fun. AMEN

Comments about Snow Peak Trek 1400 Titanium Cookset:
I purchased this looking to decrease the overall weight of my pack. So miserable a performer is this set, that it liteally drove me away from using titanium.
The handle on the fry pan is floppy and not stable. The handles on the pot are not stable either, and one slips into the other skewing the balance when the pot is full.
The frypan scorched, and burns everything even when you simmer. The frypan
acts as a lid and is loose. The best part of this set is the containment bag.
There is no value in this set whatsoever. Buy aluminum that has been anodized. I's more durable and transfer heat better.
