Comments about Exped Ergo Hammock Combi:
We are using this hammock on a thru-hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. So far it has withstood 2mths of daily use. It is very comfortable, easy to set up and seems to be durable. The reverse banana design is pretty innovative and IMO more comfortable than the traditional hammock. Recommended for anyone willing to spend a little extra for a comfortable and lightweight alternative to a tent or traditional hammock. 5 stars.

Comments about Exped Ergo Hammock Combi:
I sleep full time in hammocks and looking for the best all-around I can use indoors (w/o net) or outdoors (w/ net). The design of this is sweet b/c you can hang in very close quarters due to diagonal lay of hammock to ridgeline (only needs 6-8' minimum). The slotted rope is a sweet design, as is the rubber grommet to stop water traveling down the line. The net and fly look great. BUT, I'm returning it.
(1) it is too short (I'm 6'1.5"). (2) it is not comfortable. there is a spot that is tighter on my back, forcing my back to arch up. I think this is because of the diagonal design and though I tried with a closed foam pad, it did not help. possibly with a pad that filled the full pad pouch it might help. maybe the cords are too tight in one spot (non-adjustable)? (3) it is so thin that I fear bugs would bite through except where the pad pouch is, which is not the full width of the bed, requiring you to sleep completely in-line w/ the pad pouch. and (4) I'm only 155lbs but I saw stitching pulling on the seam near the head, creating small holes after just 2 nights. Not cool since it is rated at 330lbs, more than twice my weight.
Comments about Exped Ergo Hammock Combi:
I have tried out the prouduct just once. Must use a pad in order to make the most of the hammock. Exped LLC suggests the LW pads. I used the 9LW/DLX. Extremely easy set up. (video on Exped LLC) must keep the distance even on left/right sides or hammock leans. Rope covers are excellent to prevent tangles and easy storage. The braided / holed rope makes set up and adjustments simple. Total set up time including fly less than 5 minutes for my first time. Light attachemet and bugscreen lift is nice. I was able to relax on my back or side. Cover fly is huge more than ample for all weather. Now the cons: The rocking takes a little to get used to because it does swing at a 40* angle. When the bug screen is deployed it doesn't allow much head room 2-3" more would have been nice. Even with a 77" pad it seemed like I just barely fit, I'm 5'10". There wasn't much extra room at the feet, both in length and heigth my toes hit the bug netting. Overall a good hammock. Price is high, I paid $200 else ware. Might want to consider a high quality tent if two or more in your group.
