Comments about Lafuma Manor Extreme 600 +45 Sleeping Bag - 2012 Special Buy:

I bought this for my summer mountain trips and camping with the family in warmer places where I was just sleeping with 0deg F bag as a duve and kicking it off. This 45 deg Lafuma manor is a lovely bag and oh so light and small, but I think 45 deg is pushing it for comfort. It's got a nice rating chart on the collar and list 45 in the comfort zone, 35 as transition and 25 as extreme. I slept in the texas hill country where the temp got down to 39 F outside the tent and so I expected to be ok in the tent. I was cold. I was still cold with my jacket and long-johns I put on at 4am. And I was sleeping on my thick therma-rest too.

Buy it for above 50 deg F.

Comments about Lafuma Manor Extreme 600 +45 Sleeping Bag - 2012 Special Buy:

Fit was great for me, and I am no small guy. 6ft, 275lbs, 2XL-Tall. the fit was great even for me with very wide sholders. Size is on the crazy end of small when packed.. its smaller then you think and lighter then you think. Forget that large heavy and expensive bag this will fill your needs expertly.

Comments about Lafuma Manor Extreme 600 +45 Sleeping Bag - 2012 Special Buy:

This bag really packs small!!! Obviously the padding is also very light witch makes it really uncomfortable to use it without a stepping pad. The small volume you use with it will have to be compensated by the sleeping pad volume. Anyway is a great sleeping bag by the price. If you travel to warm places this is it. Sleeping in a hammock using this bag as a cover is great.

Comments about Lafuma Manor Extreme 600 +45 Sleeping Bag - 2012 Special Buy:

I bought this bag because it was lightweight and at a good price. No way I want to pay $300+ for a sleeping bag. When compared to my 30+ deg bag, the size difference is huge. I actually took this bag out of the box and started laughing. It comes with its own stuff sack and without even compressing it, it was half the size of my other bag. I went for a 3 day hike in Rocky Mountain National Park in July and this bag did great! When sleeping at 10,000ft, the temp dipped below 45degF. I did not get cold at all (I am somewhat of a hot sleeper). I did put a thermal shirt on because of my sweaty skin sticking to the bag. One night my feet got chilly enough to need socks, but after putting them on I started getting hot.

PROS: Very small stuff size. Lightweight. Glow-in-dark zipper. Warm enough.

CONS: Not waterproof. There was a little condensation in my tent and this bag got a little damp, really not enough to matter though - it dried out quickly. I have fairly wide shoulders, and this bag was slightly tight on me.

Overall, definitely worth the price and I would buy this bag again.

Comments about Lafuma Manor Extreme 600 +45 Sleeping Bag - 2012 Special Buy:

This bag is not described in either the short description as a "long" bag. However, the printed info on the stuff sack does say the bag is long. The stuff sack info says the bag is 72 inches long. REI's specifications state that it's 78 inches long. When I measured it, it was 83 inches long! We are returning it for that reason (My son is just under 5 feet tall). However, it would be a great warm weather bag for a person over 6 ft.
