The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated1out of5byMelonheadfromPoor Frame Construction, not RecommendedI bought this chair as a lightweight and easily packable chair to take with me where I go. I used it a total of one day in my living room before I left, just to get used to it.
First day when I'm overseas in my tent I pull it out of my bag, pop it open, sit down, and blammo, the frame snaps right at the right at the pivot point. I was sitting on a hard concrete surface, not shifty sand, uneven dirt, etc.
I'm a heavier guy, about 230, but this thing is rated up to 260. I might have expected a frame cracking after a long time of hard use but this was brand new. I initially chalked it up to a bad batch but when I returned it to REI (which took it back no questions asked, awesome!) I looked at reviews and saw I wasn't the only one that had the same frame snapping problem.
Good idea but poor, poor execution by Lafuma. I got the REI Flex Lite instead and that chair is awesome and I dare say a bit lighter too.

Rated5out of5byMMaendlfromI love this chair.....for KIDS!I bought this chair for my daughter as a companion to the full size Lafumas my husband and I have. She is six and loves it. I actually did not realize when I bought it that it was intended for adults! I read the other reviews today and then went and sat in it....I didn't find it to be comfortable and I was leery of the pop rivet construction at the joints (I own a manufacturing company and am a designer....I think Lafumas could do better on this point). I love it for a kids' chair! For my own needs I use the Lafumas for casual camping and events, and my Alite for backcountry situations.

Rated1out of5byCleverNicknamefromBroken Record on the Broken ArmGuess I'm just adding to the pile here. Liked the chair, lightweight and comfortable but it snapped like a twig at the same rivet point the third time I used it.

Rated1out of5byZTWfromNo GoodWhen looking for a backpacking chair in store this one felt the sturdiest and best built. Very comfortable and supposedly supported up to 250lbs (im 190). It packed down small and was easy to strap to my pack. I took it on a 13 mile hike down assateague island to film the wild ponys. In the sand it seemed to be holding up great. Except i started to notice that the top corners of the fabric looked to be stretching thin (still was functional though). It made it through the trek but the next time i brought it out, to a camp fire with friends, it didnt last but 20 minutes. It snapped right at the rivet point where others have pictured below. I wouldnt recommend this chair at all. Too bad because i really liked the design and feel.

Rated4out of5bySkimeisterfromComfortable, light, durableI mostly use this chair to carry out to a pond on the back of our property to sit in the shade and breeze to read in. It is very lightweight, fairly comfortable for me at 6' 3" 220 lbs. I also used it on a canoe camping trip for same purpose. It's a compromise, small and light and a bit less comfortable than a larger chair. It has held up well with a lot of use, several days a week through the summer for a couple of hours a day.

Rated1out of5bywifeoftomfromNot for the moneyWe needed new chairs, we like them low to the ground. This is good for camping, keeps you close to the fire and out of the smoke, and good for concerts, low as to not block others. Believing that sometimes if you pay a little bit more you will get a quality product. Save you money. As with other reviewers our chairs broke. The first one broke with me in it metal bar broke sending me sprawling. The second one, like other reviewers, the mesh ripped.
We have had these chairs since June. First one broke in June second one made it to December. Get the REI brand better quality for the money

Rated1out of5byslymike914fromTerrible, Broke within the first 2 hoursI wish I could give it a zero. I took this chair out camping this last weekend and within 2 hours the chair had broken. The aluminum braces on the back snapped in half. I thought that it would be great as light as it was.
