Comments about Garmont Vetta Hike GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
Use these boots overnight Camping / Hiking in
snow in Yosemite last month. Hiked in the foot deep
snow almost half of the hike and feet stayed dried.
Toe's got cold after some times hiking when shoe
were under snow for a while but after cleaning the
snow off the shoes, the toe's were back to normal.
The shoe gave very good traction on snow and ice.
The grip on bolder is also very good.

Comments about Garmont Vetta Hike GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I use the boots as daily shoes and thru the winter the icy conditions prove to be a bit challenging with such a hard tread. The fit was good, traction in loose dirt great, water proof a plus. The stitching and rubber has not separated in the 3 months of daily use. The boot was a bit stiff, after a couple weeks of wear it has loosened up comfortably. The sale price of the boot makes it a great deal.
Comments about Garmont Vetta Hike GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I've only put 10 miles on these this past weekend out in the Olympics but I found them to be very comfortable and to offer good support on a rocky trail. Fortunately, I can't speak to the question of how waterproof they are as we had great weather.
Sturdy but light weight.

these boots are great for southern california desert and dry mountainous camping/ hiking !! good support and lightweight !! they arent the best waterproof boots so i wouldnt get these if you are in a wet marshy area or an area with a lot of snow but they are good for areas like so cal and dry mountainous or desert areas!!

Comments about Garmont Vetta Hike GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
These Boots are absolutely horrible!!! They are NOT WATER PROOF by ANY means. I broke these boots in at home for a week or so then wore them when I hiked The East Coast Trail in Newfoundland (110 miles). First day I walked through some 1-2 foot high wet grass and in less than 10 min these boots soaked up water like a paper towel. Even with leg gators on. They filled with water, and then did not drain. They didn't stand any chance of staying dry in the mud or anything with water in it. And when it did rain it was even worse. I might as well have started every morning of my hike by pouring x2 cups of water in my boots before putting them on. They never could fully dry and where stiff throughout the entire hike (7-days) and wreaked my feet very bad. Ruined my hike. Also the laces do not fully tighten all the way and often come loose when hiking. These where my 2nd pair of Garmont boot I've ever had and will absolutely be my last. DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS, if you plan to use them for hiking.
