Comments about Wenger Tremor Trail Shoes - Men's - 2010 Closeout:
I use these shoes as every-day shoes once the daily high temperature drops below about 70F, and always wear them when I go hiking. The soles are incredible! They stick to everything! Even when the terrain is covered with dry leaves you won't slide around! They are VERY waterproof, and over-all extremely comfortable even after many hours in them.
They do have a few downsides, however. They are very nice looking, but their outer surface scuffs suprisingly easily! After my first hike with these they came back looking pretty rough. Thats not to say their structure had been compromised, they just weren't as pretty. I sort of expected a work-boot exterior durability (since they resemble work boots). They still do what they're good at, but aren't any more in a condition to wear to the office on casual days (because they actually looked really nice with khakis). Secondly, the metal lace hooks do a real number on the laces. My laces are fraying after only a few months. You would expect that sort of thing would be taken into account.
All in all, a comfortable, very capable, very flexible hiking shoe that I've really been enjoying! I just wish they hadn't gotten ugly so quickly.

Work outside walking around landscapes and disturbed sites.
Shoes have great traction in various conditions. Seem exceptionally well built. Will need to own longer to be able to document durability. Liked the first pair so much, I bought a second because I knew they were closing out. Like the second pair as much as the first.
