by GipounfromTough and comfortableI had these boots for 10 years before the soles fell off. The upper section still has lots of life if I ever decide to have them re-soled.
They are very sturdy and comfortable. I took these boots up mountains, through water and across beaches.
I tend to get blisters on my heels and while I did in these boots, they were comfortable enough to hike 7+ hours with blisters.
Unfortunately, the soles of the boots were chewed on by my pet. Once the inside of the sole was exposed to water they disintegrated (mind you they were 10 years old at this point)
All in all a great boot!

by BpackerAPfromAdore these boots! These boots have lasted through countless backpacking trips, including two in Alaska's very wet weather and unstable terrain. It is very difficult to get the inside of the boot wet, even when crossing streams (with gaiters on). The outside of the boots dry quickly. They don't breath all that well, but I've worn them in the desert and have no problem with my feet being too hot.
The sides are very stable with great ankle support and the soles have outstanding traction without being too clunky. I ordered a half size up from my normal size to allow for heavy hiking socks.
The best part...I've never had a blister from these boots (I never thought I could find a boot that I could say that about!).
