        I am having a lot of trouble staying warm this winter (post cancer treatment meds make me bone cold).This is too warm to wear inside for very long unless I have the heat below 65 (trying to reduce my carbon footprint too). I have worn it outside and it has kept my head and ears toasty in breezy weather.

        My family said they could have picked this out at the store for me and known I would love it, tree hugger hippie that I am. It is a little snug so someone with a larger head won't be comfortable in it.

        I can recommend this as a warm, comfortable, stylish beanie. I look forward to many years of warmth.

        I bought 2 of these [$] hats--a black one for my wife for Christmas and a gray one for myself. The gray one was too small for my head, and I do not have a large head. The black one fit me perfect, but the band colors were definitely not my colors. My wife used the drawstring to cinch her's up once, and the plastic cinch mechanism broke. Very disappointed in the quality for any price. This hat was supposed to be a replacement for a similar beanie I got her from Early Winters years ago. Unfortunately, it was lost, but was far more durable and was a great fit with more of a beanie shape than this one, which fit more like a stocking cap. We returned them to our local store.

          i've had one of these hats for years and just decided to get another since it's such a great hat. it's not too tight and is ideal for wearing while camping, for hours on end, all day, or especially for sleeping. it's never itchy and the woven trim is beautiful. i actually got one of these (black) and one of the unisex sizes (in green) because i couldn't decide on the color. this women's one is a slightly better fit but they were on sale and i couldn't decide which colors i liked best so i'm keeping both. i like my camping hats on the loose side but this hat is pretty warm considering it's not lined or earflap. just remember to put the toggle adjuster in the back before lying down to sleep or it will get you in the back of the head :)

            Bought one of these from REI a few years ago, and got so many compliments that I'm buying several more for gifts. I wear mine everywhere: gardening, rafting, skiing, walking the dog, etc., etc.
