I got this pair of Garmont shoes after my last pair finally died. These shoes where very comfortable out of the box. They have a serious tread pattern, super sticky for great wet traction. I tested both the breathability and waterproofness during a recent wet trip to Hawaii. They shoes surpassed my high expectations in both the high humidity of the islands and the fact that it pour down rain while we where out hiking.

This product was used to train for the Caledonian Challenge 54 miles in 24 hours non stop through the Highlands of Scotland in June.
My first pair have lasted for 1088 miles on trails and the only wear area is the mesh near the toes have torn apart. Now on second pair, while breaking in third pair for casual and daily use.

I have had these shoes for two weeks and am happy with the purchase. They're comfortable and did not take long to break in. I have had problems with the back of the heal fabric tearing on previous shoes, but that has not been a problem with these.

Perfect shoe for the Caminos de Santiago. I just came back from a 950-mile, 3-month trek from the grassy mountains of Southern France, over the snow-capped rocky Pyrenees, through the hot & dusty Spanish Meseta, up the very wet & windy hills of Galicia, down through the hot gravelly roads of Portugal. These shoes really held up (even better than 2 of my friends' Merrells)! Although the side meshing tore a tiny bit from getting caught on thorny bushes. Even in heavy rain, my feet stayed dry and the shoes dried within hours. Quite breathable too. I only got 1 small blister/callous on the right pinkie toe... pretty good considering I walked 950 miles for 3 months (average = 12mi/day). Little break-in time is necessary, although always recommended, of course. One unimportant con though- the looong shoelaces were annoying.. and I could only tie so many knots to get rid of the slack. Oh yes, and arch support was good at first, but they wear down after constant everyday use- consider getting removable insoles.
Overall- an excellent shoe for anyone considering walking one of the Caminos de Santiago or any moderately-light long-haul hike. They served me extremely well.

I had the Zeinth mid and loved them - hiked in the Alps and then in Nepal in the same shoes with many hikes between. They held up well and were very comfortable. I puchased the Zeinth low this time thinking they would fit the same. Not! They are stiffer and the toe boxes seem to push my toes to the top of the shoe. I thought they may losen up some, but with the stiffness they seem to actually be shrinking.
